Lauren Amrhein PT, DPT
Dr. Lauren Amrhein is a licensed Physical Therapist in both the USVI and Pennsylvania. She is originally from the beautiful (but cold) Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Graduating with a B.S in Psychology from Bethany College, she later received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Wheeling Jesuit University in 2014. While at Wheeling Jesuit University, Dr. Amrhein participated in service trips including one to Merida, Mexico to provide physical therapy services to children in need.
Dr. Amrhein has been working in in-patient neurological rehabilitation, early intervention and school-based therapy. She has specialized in pediatric physical therapy, her duties include evaluating for physical delays/deficits, strengthening/stretching specific muscles, fitting bracing, fitting assistive devices, and improving balance and coordination. Dr. Amrhein has continuing education in kinesiotaping, neuro-vision, spinal cord rehabilitation and much more.
Dr. Amrhein looks forward to working closely with the community to improve pediatric physical therapy services on St. Thomas.
