Bob Habicht, MD, FAAP, FACP, SFHM,
Dr. Habicht is a Board Certified Pediatrician and Internist. He is an active Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Physicians, and a Senior Fellow of the Hospital Medicine. Dr. Habicht received his undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland at College Park where he obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Physiology and Neurobiology in 1998. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2004.
Dr. Habicht completed his post-graduate training in combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics (Med-Peds) at the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) in 2008 after serving as Chief Resident for the Med-Peds program. He subsequently joined the staff at UMMC and has been practicing in pediatrics and internal medicine since that time. He was selected to serve as Program Director for the Med-Peds Residency Training Program in 2010 and held this position until 2020. During his time at UMMC, Dr. Habicht held several institutional, local, regional, and national positions focused on resident and medical student education, patient safety and hospital medicine. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Dr. Habicht moved to St. Thomas and joined Partners 4Kids in October 2020. His professional interests include outpatient pediatrics, adolescent care and healthcare transitions, and community outreach and engagement.
Dr. Habicht enjoys spending his free time outdoors hiking and playing sports with his two children, Reese and Carter, wife Shannon, and his miniature golden-doodle, Bailey. While not talented in the realm of music, he is also attempting to learn to play the guitar.
